I think I'm the most 幸福daughter in the world!!!! haha.. dad jus came back frm the Isetan supermarket with all the JAP GOODIES!!!! YES!! HE WENT ALL THE WAY TO ORCHARD JUST TO BUY SUSHI FOR ME!!!!! HAHAHAHA!! tell me who's more blessed than ME!!!

Well, lets not talk abt the 'BORING' sushi frm the first pic.. haha! Second one u see is the Goryokaku Monogatari(seafood bento).. that small little box of bento costs $22.90 okays!!! haha.. but i think its quite worth the money.. other than the Taraba crab meat and the salmon roe tts quite obvious, there's still like smoked tuna, sea urchin, and scallop sashimi hidden underneath tt pile of shredded crab meat.. haha!! For those who tried the Taraba crab(those giagantic crabs with super long legs..)before shld know.. how SWEET AND JUICY the meat taste!! one of its legs is enough to make u full lor!! my dad LOOOVVEE tt crab.. haha!

Third pic u see is my favourite!!! Do not be deceived by its look and think tt its the normal maki sushi u see everywhere.. IT IS NOT!!! look carefully and u'll see tuna sashimi!! big chunks of it!! this one is with the eel.. previously we had the ones with tuna and salmon sashimi.. tt tasted better i think.. but nevertheless.. I STILL LOVE IT!! hahaha..

Oh.. there's actually another thing dad bought.. the grilled scallop sticks!! haha.. I couldn't resist the temptation and munched it down before I could think of taking pictures!! hahaha!! the scallops are HUGE!!! I dunno what to compare it with.. haha.. its abt 4-5cm per scallop.. I'M NOT EXAGGERATING!!! I don't think I need to describe how it tastes.. haha!! Well, try it yourself if you don't mind the price! haha..

Hokkaido Fair's coming up in July at Tampines Mall!! for those who can't wait(like my dad), get the stuffs from Isetan supermarket then!! Enjoy!!

Outing!!

Brought mom and dad out for dinner yesterday together with jie! hee~ been such a LOOONNNGG time since we last went out as a family.. as in only the 4 of us, no extras.. haha! we planned to go Thai express ever since my last trip there with sis n gang due to my commendation of the LEGENDARY BEEF NOODLES!! haha! [see my previous post] okays, we RARELY eat out as a family cos my mom seriously can cook like thousand times better than any hawkers out there(well, this verdict doesn't come from ME only.. haha!), and plus my dad is really health conscious.. for the better of himself and US ya.. haha.. So this is really not a COMMON scene in our family..

Was really looking forward to it since my nights.. in fact, was looking forward to my 5 days off.. but i think bad luck followed me home frm work.. haha.. this always happens.. whenever i'm having long breaks frm work, like the whole stretch of day-offs and rest-days or on leave, i tend to fall sick.. this time it happened again!! my tummy ached for TWO DAYS!!! tt was long.. argh!!! can u imagine the whole weekend spent lying in bed and wasting ur time away when others are out there partying??!!! *angry* well, only person i can blame is myself.. for being so stubborn, not seeing a doctor when i'm not well.. hai.. and teddy's not working on saturday!!! someone pls pull me away frm the wall so i won't bang it.. :(

Anyways.. lucky i got better on sunday so we went out as planned.. went to the outlet at marina sq.. and because i haven't been eating for the past few days.. i was REALLY HUNGRY(as usual) even before we reach the restaurant!! so i announced tt i already decided what to eat when we reach and tt is my BEEF NOODLE SOUP!! but this time i'm gona try the vermicelli.. haha!!

As soon as we reached the place, we quickly made our orders and waited P-A-T-I-E-N-T-L-Y for our food to come.. In all we ordered a mini tom-yum seafood steamboat, olive rice, stir-fried beef with basil, yellow ginger chicken and of cos my beef noodles.. haha.. Pictures yet to come cos still in my jie's phone.. hee~

the waitress warned us abt the yellow ginger chicken cos its supposed to be super spicy.. 超辣she said.. haha! den we said never mind cos we have 2 malfunctioned tastebuds.. haha!! tts my mom n jie!! well, u shld see the way they take chilli.. and my mom's homemade chilli is well known for its 火辣指數!! LOL~ so we ordered anyway..

Overall the food we ordered were quite nice.. except for jie's olive rice.. she said its too salty.. din wana try it since she said its not nice.. hee~ now, time for the sentence of THE YELLOW GINGER CHICKEN!! haha.. the final say is>>> IT'S REALLY SPICY!!!! hahaha.. even my mom couldn't take it!! her face turned all red frm it!! hahaha.. like those comical characters turning RED when they eat something spicy.. first time i see it on a real person!! hahaha.. but she still managed to finish it lah.. haha..

After eating we went to shop shop a little(helps in digestion too!).. poor dad had to wait for us outside the shops all the time.. haha! ZARA is having sale!! and the basics are going at $9.90!!!!! tts super cheap can!!! since when u get things frm Zara at less then 10 bucks??!! BUT.. here comes the disadvantage of being skinny.. NO SIZE!!!! can't find a single S/XS(those colours i want) even after ransacking the whole rack!! so in the end only bought a cardigan i'd been eyeing for sometime and since its SALE(frm what darling always say..), TELL ME A THOUSAND REASON FOR NOT BUYING CAN??!!! haha.. mom got 2 tops and jie too.. haha!!

Feels good to be going out as a family.. have dinner.. shopping.. and paying for them.. haha!! think we shld do this more often!! heh~ I came to realise sg has HOG'S BREATH!! yay!! maybe tt'll be our next stop!! haha!! wonder if it'll taste the same as back in Aussie..

Was having this colicky pain the whole of last night.. even till now.. think must be wind.. haha.. jus like those crying baby tt come in for colic.. so couldn't sleep the whole night cos the pain is like on and off.. den Teddy msged me early in the morning and was surprised i wasn't sleeping at tt time.. hee~ was nice to have someone showing their concern esp when u're not feeling tt well.. but i think i pissed him off cos he wanted me to go see doc but being the stubborn me i didn't want to.. haha.. i'm thinking if i shld get mist carb for myself laters.. hai.. see how ba.. shall take my breakfast first.. :)

when the jinxed meets the jinxed

my first night shift doing TRIAGE tonight!!! super stressed before coming to work lor.. the thought of doing triage during the wee hours jus scares the hell out of me.. wat if some parent comes running in with an unresponsive child or wat which they usually come during that time.. and furthermore i'm with kak jah lor!! the well-known jinxed! i myself is quite jinxed in the dept.. i think among my batch i met with the most number of BID(brought in dead) cases.. so imagine when me n kak jah combine power.. haha! jinxed+jinxed=super duper jinxed!!

i dunno y but there's this omen i have that it'll not be a smooth sailing shift tonight.. i even prayed to God to give me a good shift.. haha! and true enough.. the moment we come out frm report and sit at triage kak jah brought in a SVT(supraventricular tachycardia).. i haven't even seen a case lor!! haha! so i stayed to triage cos of the new assignment arrangement.. then a small crowd came.. THEN, jus when i was almost done triaging the last pt of tt small crowd, THE VHF ALARMED!!!!! i was abt to instruct the parents to proceed for registration, but due to shock i suddenly jus didn't know what to say to the parents.. haha! after like 5seconds i then regained my 'consciousness' and quickly ask the parents to register and i went to answer the VHF.. it was a 11yr old boy, near drowning with h/o congenital heart disease, conscious but cyanosed, ETA 10 mins.. tts the gist of it.. but the actual thing the control mentioned was much much more.. with like pulse rate, BP, SpO2 and even the B/C No.!!! haha.. first time i receive such a detailed VHF!!

afterwhich was to call for doctors to standby.. then the resus nurses all came.. so we were all busy preparing and didn't realise no doctor came.. and i tot the ETA was 10mins, but the ambulance arrived like less than 5 mins!! and no doctors still!! so i quickly called for doctors to resus again and now all 3 docs came..

i must say the pt's mom was really fantastic.. the story was, the child was playing with his siblings in the pool while the mom was sweeping the floor.. den suddenly it became quiet and the mom went to check it out and found him floating on the water face up and unconscious.. so quickly she brought him out and started CPR immediately.. after a while the child coughed and subsequently regained consciousness.. his mom actually brought him back to life!! see the importance of bystander CPR ya.. :) the child went to HD eventually..

Rest of the night was all peaceful.. as in no more resus.. but pts jus keep coming and they come ONE BY ONE!! tts kinda irritating cos u can't really rest(night shifts are really draining ya noe.. ).. haha! and i don't know whether my ear has some problem or wat.. wat i heard was a wheeze and another was rhonchi but when seen by Dr the lungs were clear for both.. thou the wheeze was eventually diagnosed as pneumonia.. kak jah say the nasal sound sometimes could sound like a rhonchi.. *shrugs* anyways.. was a OK shift lah.. haha.. 3 MORE NIGHTS to go!!! hai.. y did i request for the nights??

24hours

okays.. had a REALLY LOOONNG day yesterday.. was literally out for the whole day!! yes, 24hours!! haha.. was morning shift yesterday and as usual i was in-charge.. not exactly an eventful shift.. 2 resus, 1 ?GBS went to HD and the other was an onco case tt went to CICU.. i think i like the new resus assignment tingy.. the staff strength is evenly distributed and we have enough coverage ard the whole dept.. and the thing is, procedures can still carry on when there's a resus.. previously when the PNs are resus the whole list of procedures get delayed and the parents will all come in and pester the already-very-busy nurses.. haha! worst if there's a bad case like we're intubating or code blue etc.. so now tt we have more staffs(thou most are still quite junior), i think this 'resus team' tingy is a good arrangement..

after our shift, sister tor came and drove us to TTSH for our ECG symposium together with kak jah.. haha.. i think i'm such a disgrace.. or probably i was too tired.. i dozed off during the lecture!! WTH! haha.. i remembered i never did tt during my 3 yrs in nyp.. not even once i dozed off during any lectures.. no matter how dry the topic was.. Jaime had to pass me her sweets jus to keep me awake.. haha! but it was good.. well, at least for the parts when i was awake.. haha!

after tt went to meet my sis and wisnie for dinner.. waited till like 8pm before evelyn and jasen turned up.. by then i was SUPER HUNGRY already!! so we quickly made our way to Thai express as decided earlier.. haha.. after we made our orders, everybody's food came one by one.. then all came except mine and wisnie's!! we ordered the beef glass noodle soup and it took like a thousand years to come!! it always happens when u're the most hungry.. ur food always comes LAST!!! so after like 15mins my long awaited food finally came!! and its really nice!!! or perhaps i was too hungry.. haha.. the look of it is like the noodles telling u "i'm very tasty, EAT ME!!" hahaha!

after dinner we went to catch a show at marina.. You don't mess with the ZOHAN!! hahaha.. super duper lame show.. but was a nice show to watch after a long day lah.. destress abit.. haha.. oh.. forgot to mention.. Jasen was really sweet!! i asked for paracet cos was having this really bad headache(i think it came frm my toothache).. actually it started right frm the ECG symposium but i jus tahan throughout.. haha.. i dun like taking meds unless its really necessary.. so before the show started i tot i couldn't take it anymore so i asked for it.. Jasen said he have it in his car and without a second word he took one ticket with him and went off to get me the paracet, and told us to go in first.. aww~ isn't he sweet? soon after he came back with the paracet but it wasn't the one frm his car.. HE WENT ALL THE WAY TO BUY IT FOR ME!!! walau.. i was really touched lor!! but at the same time like paiseh liddat.. i was sitting down comfortably at the cinema and he had to walk like dunno how far to get it for me.. all thanks to him my headache slowly went away during the show and after the show i was ALIVE again! haha.. like batteries recharged.. :) eve's really fortunate to have a bf like him.. haha!

the rest of the night was a total spoiler!! they suggested going to this pub at carpenters st called the Dreamerz Bar.. according to my sis, i knew the boss of this pub(i'm totally unaware of it) and she keeps telling it to everybody! apparently he's this guy we met at Le Bar some time ago and he even gave me his card which i have no idea where is it now.. anyway, i supposed he's not some attractive guy to catch my attention hence the 'not remembering who he is'.. haha.. and so is his 'pub'.. its soooo lock cock i'm lost for words to describe it!! we were standing outside of the pub and we couldn't believe our eyes.. "look at the floor.. look at the tables and chairs.." i said.. haha! i think even the pub tt kenneth's working at is much better, thou they say its also v 'lock'.. at least there's a concept..

we went in anyways cos wisnie already 'dian ge' and our songs are coming up le.. eve's 2 cousins joined us too.. i tell u.. the chairs are like those 跌打place kinda chairs! (read: wooden chairs) floor's not carpeted and NOT SWEPT!! the sound system was a disaster.. and the beer got this salty taste and its abit like diluted.. and the place was VERY VERY NOISY!! its not as many ppl as Le Bar, but its sooo much noisier! so noisy tt i couldn't hear myself singing and had to cover my ear.. Le Bar's crowded but u still can hear ur voice v clearly when singing lor.. and the system is 10000 times better can.. one word: FAIL!!!!!! hahahaha..

so we quickly finished our drinks and went to Chamber 82 instead.. well, so far no place can be compared to Le Bar.. But.. still better than tt 'ulu sembawang' place.. haha! settled ourselves down and we're more 'focused'.. haha.. i think we're too distracted previously by the couldn't-believe-our-eyes place and was too busy complaining.. played some games and had our usual dose of laughter and i finally get to sing a decent song after hours of waiting! haha..

We reached home at almost 5am!!! haha.. tts y i said.. i was out for like 24hours!!! fell asleep straight after i lie on my bed.. and it rained in the morning!! woohoo~ never had such a good sleep for a long time!! haha.. Next friday back to Le Bar!! yay!! NO MORE NONSENSE PLACES PLEASE!! wahaha..

I HEART Forever21!!!

Just when i was about to squeeze dry my brain juice(haha!), thinking of what to wear tonight.. THE PARCEL HAS ARRIVED!!!! yay!! just so very in time!! YES!! its my orders frm forever21! straight from the states!! hee~

I luurrvvee the orders this time.. 5 dresses in all and all fitted PERFECTLY!!! mom's gona scream at me again.. like how she did the other day when she complained tt we buy too many clothes and the wardrobe's almost bursting! haa! but i dun care.. which girl on earth doesn't like buying new clothes???!!

I prefer shopping @ Forever21 online rather than at the outlet itself.. Firstly i dun have to search high and low for the S size.. it seems i always have a hard time looking for my size at the outlet and i have to dig at every piece of clothing jus to find my size.. and after tt u still gotta que for the fitting room and try on ur outfits.. Secondly, i dun think they import all the designs frm the states.. which means, u'll never find some of them in Singapore!! do i need to explain further?? haha.. and lastly(but of course, we dun even need all these reasons in the first place), the quality of the clothings are alot better as compared to the ones u get locally.. maybe its psychological.. oh, i forgot.. the prices are reasonable too even after the postage.. haha! I LOVE FOREVER21!!!! :)

Crazy Mahjong

went over richard's place for mahjong on saturday... this IS the WORST SESSION EVER IN HISTORY!!!!!!! i never win a single round!!! WHAT DA HELL!!! haha... and my tiles were all so 'sui' lor!! dunno wat is happening... shall not say anymore.. ARGH!!!~~

My first yoga class!!

went for my FIRST yoga class with tee yu and darling yesterday at Pure Yoga.. haha! after seeing darling going for her yoga classes and seemed to enjoy herself so much, me n tee yu were also tempted to join her for class, jus to have an experience.. wat can i say.. it was fun!!! haha.. i think i'm still quite flexible given the fact tt i haven't been exercising since i graduated frm SAC!!!

We did the hot yoga session and hell, it was really HOT!! i've never perspired SOOOOO much at one time in my entire life!! i remembered darling said the room temp was at ard 38degrees (if tts correct.. haha),and while doing my sweat was dripping down the floor!! yes it dripped.. the instructor was a really young fella.. at first i tot he's one of the students.. haha.. the positions were still ok for me at the beginning.. did the somewhat 'standard' yoga positions.. but towards the end he was focusing more on the abdomen and tt part almost killed me!! haha.. there was this thing where he wanted us to balance on our sacrum, hands and chest off the floor, legs both in the air and raise our legs interchangeably.. i swear my legs were shaking when we paused!! tt was the only part i hated during the class.. haha.. otherwise i think the yoga was really good! i can feel my blood circulating once again after like YEARS!! haha.. i told darling abt this and she jus laughed! like my blood wasn't circulating all these while...haha.. now i'm deciding whether to go for regular classes or not.. heh~

we were soo hungry after class and decided to go for dinner at coffee club.. erm.. like all our effort gone down the drain cos u're eating all the 'fattening' food straight after class[we had pastas.. yes..].. haha! well, its ok for me lah.. i live on carbo so if i dun eat i think i'll faint anyways..

supposed to meet kelvin for dinner but he said he had an appt at 8pm and was quite late after our class already so decided to meet up for a small drink instead.. thought of going Le Bar since he got nowhere to suggest.. haha.. so darling and i made our way to Le Bar first after dinner.. and i'm gona scream!! Le Bar WAS FULL HOUSE AT 10PM!!!! wat da hell!!!! i noe its friday lah.. but its only 10pm lor!!! we used to go to the old Le Bar on Saturday at 10plus and its only a few tables of ppl.. THIS IS CRAZY!!! so we decided to walk down the street and see if there's any other pubs we can go.. down the whole stretch of Neil Rd, pubs after pubs, we were so damn turned off by all the pubs.. its either they're all so 'lock cock' or they're all the 'lao lang gey'(old ppl) pubs.. there was one which had like hostress wearing the super glittery dress, super big hairdo and was singing on the STAGE lor!! yes, they have a stage in the pub!!! SUPER SONG(old fashioned), SONG UNTIL THE CORE OF MY ARSE I TELL U!!! hahahaha.. we almost fainted after we peeped in the pub.. now we see why Le Bar was full house.. *faintz*

since we're at chinatown already, and there's jus no place tt we liked so i suggested to go sing K instead.. darling brought me to the 10dollar KTV.. haha.. i din noe they have such CHEAP KTVs in sg.. the place abit lock cock lah.. but the songs are ok.. same system as Le Bar's.. so actually quite new song they have there.. kelvin joined us laters and brought along his friend.. HIS FRIEND CAN SING!!! haha.. nobody in Le Bar can beat him i think.. haha.. and he can sing stefanie sun's and A-mei's songs better than a girl!! darling so wanted to check whether he's really a guy anot.. haha.. we even tot of PR-ing him!! wahahaha...

was totally shagged after a really long day.. morning shift, +/- shopping, yoga class, walking down Neil Rd then Duxton then Chinatown with my super heavy bag, KTV.. i got tired halfway singing.. haha.. and i fell asleep right after i lie on my bed!! tts a rare scene okays.. haha.. i think its the yoga.. haven't had a good sleep ever since i started working.. i think i'm going for more yoga classes!!!
