Happy like a bird!

Oh, tts wat kelvin said to me when i waved goodbye at him last night.. but refused to tell me wat he meant when i asked him.. geez.. okays.. i must admit i was really feeling elated yesterday thou it was a REALLY LONG day..

Morning shift and like since when it never happened, it was BUSY BUSY BUSY!! When kak jah went for her break and i was all alone at triage, the moment she left, 3 pts came together.. then when i was seeing the first of the 3, another 2 came.. i raced as i triage but still they jus keep coming!! until i really cannot tahan i called inside for another person to come to my rescue! haha.. first time i called in for help.. Grr..

Then after the first resus tt i called was the start of HELL!! the que started to flood.. den so many many ambulance!! kaozz.. the most irritating case of all was this HFMD pt.. i saw as i stand at the ambulance bay all the paramedics were wearing masks.. and its N95 mask can!!! so i tot got some infectious case or wat.. for one moment i tot i need to wear my PPE too.. haha.. den when i ask wat case is it then the AO say HAND FOOT MOUTH.. i almost fainted in front of him lor!!! "HFMD y need to wear mask?" i asked.. [FYI: HFMD is spread thru direct contact, not air borne.. duh~] then when the AO brought the wheelchair to the boy i was like.. "cannot walk ah?" come on lor, tt boy is NINE YRS OLD already lor!!! and he said he can walk! kaozz.. dunno wat all these AOs are doing sia.. and i dunno y HFMD need to take ambulance.. *faintzz*

Met teddy after shift.. heh~ to give him the scarf and camera la duh.. he's officially leaving on the 4th.. tts a night flight.. hai.. i'm on E shift.. anyways, i still think its better if i dun go send him off.. i think i'll cry like some hysterical being at the airport and be such a disgrace..

I thought to myself, since we have not much time left, in fact very little, each time we're together it shld always be happy so that at least the memories won't be bad.. I tried really hard and i almost din make it.. My heart was aching so badly as i laid in my comfort zone.. and for one moment my tears was almost falling.. took a deep breath and i was glad it din fall..

He was like a little boy when he meddled with the scarf.. tt made me happy.. :)

Went 'Le Bar-ing' with darling and tee yu after darling knocked off.. Well, we went to the 2nd level cos u know, ground floor was full.. somehow it was better cos easier to have our girls talk.. haha.. halfway talking darling suddenly paused and was starring at smth.. it was teddy!! haha.. i swear my heart skipped when i saw him lor! well, it wasn't in his plan i tot.. den he went up and sang with Ivan and his friend.. first time i'm seeing his shyness!! haha..

After tt me n darling went up to sing too.. first time singing with a live band leh!! haha.. but we jus spoil the whole thing lor! cos can't remember the lyrics! hahaha.. den we so nervous can!! darling said if we go join the 'don't forget your lyrics' sure gone case lor! LOL!!

I think we shall have more 'outings' like this! wat u think darling?? heh~

維多利亞的秘密

Haha.. tts the chinese way of saying Victoria's secret for those who can't read.. yes!! my orders have arrived!!!! i noe darling is a real fan of VS and she's been 'promoting' VS to me since like dunno how many yrs ago.. haha.. but only recently den i started to order their stuff and even so all i ordered were like the body lotions, body scrub, EDT blah blah.. and the reason i started ordering was becos MY DAD wanted me to order... lol!!! yes, u read clearly, its my PAPA!! wahaha.. he said he liked the smell of the hand cream and wanted me to order like half a dozen! i said he siao where got ppl buy so many at one time de!! haha..

Anyways, was reading the newsletter tt VS mailed me the other day and they were having this promotion tingy.. any $30 spent u'll get a traveller's bag for FREE! haha.. and it looked nice too! plus there's another promotion with some discounts.. so obviously i must 发挥 my 'auntie' 精神 and not let this opportunity slip frm my hands!! wahaha!

Lucky the dresses can fit.. so worried abt the size tingy cos nv ordered before and joy was telling me the other time she ordered and the dress was so super big!! haha..

Oh, there's another thing tt i bought the previous time and din have time to take photo of it.. haha... this sweet little thing is so pretty and sexy!!! its a body shimmer in case u're wondering wat da hell is tt thing.. hee~

Its PMS again.. I noticed since a few months back i'm starting to have PMS.. Its always tt time of the month i'm easily agitated and moody at most times.. not that i have this problem all along.. Grr~

I'm SO proud of MYSELF!!!!!

FINALLY!!! My FIRST ever completed piece of knitting!!!!!!! I'm jus super proud of myself lor!! LOL!

Took me like 1 mth to finish knitting this piece of scarf.. heh~ at first i tot i wun be able to complete the whole thing.. well, tt always happened in the past.. haha.. never once did i complete a single thing.. always knit halfway den leave it there to grow dust and rot.. haha.. i simply have no patience to sit there and do the same action over and over again for ten thousand times la.. oh, then i found out the reason behind this.. its my mom lah.. haha.. i inherited her genes!! she said she use to do crocheting but after doing for awhile she'll jus leave it there to rot and like me, she never completed a single project too!! heh~ mother and daughter alike eh? haha..

So now that its completed, at least my hardwork is paid off lah.. u know, all the muscle aches, cramped fingers, backache, crossed eyes.. lol! okays.. actually its not so bad lah.. maybe jus a little of each only.. wahaha... but there's this great sense of achievement la.. *grinzz*

Since its my first ever self knitted scarf.. of cos will have abit of flaws lah.. erm.. maybe not as nice as those they sell out there.. hope he dun mind.. hee..

Oh, and I bought the camera too.. went to PS today to get yarn for the tassel so tot might as well jus buy the camera.. haha.. actually i already have smth in mind la.. but still asked if he had any preference since he'll be the one using it.. like wouldn't it be better if its smth he likes/wanted? anyways, he said no and this is wat i got...

Okays.. with my budget only can get this.. plus i'm not sure if my sis wana share oso.. hee.. the barangs are all the 'free gifts'.. haha.. erm.. i think the only alluring thing there is the memory stick.. 4GB memory stick for free actually is quite worth it.. heh~ ok.. i'm an easily satisfied person so its considered good to me.. :) the only thing is.. hope he likes it lor.. but if he dun like den oso LL.. haha..

okays.. we just had another intubation earlier on.. heh~ its me again la.. wat to do.. i sit at triage always backside itchy will call for resus.. lol! this time round was a small little baby.. she's already blue when she first came in la.. not as in collapse but cyanosed.. at first when the grandma was carrying her i tot the baby collapsed lor!! cos her colour really not good plus she's sleeping.. but later on the father said she has some congenital heart problem den i tot maybe thats normal for her.. so was asking the history frm the dad and he said baby hasn't PU since like 11am.. tts 12hrs lor!!! and not feeding well either.. and the perfusion was really bad.. so the more i see the baby the more i feel smth is not right.. so asked doris to take a look at the child.. den she say bring to resus.. haha.. so we called lor.. den daryl came in oso.. he's not in CE now la.. for a few mths.. but he's on call tonight so he was at his office doing some stuff and heard resus so came in to take a look.. haha.. so the 3 docs were trying so hard to get a plug in but after like 10 thousand times still cannot get in.. but they wanted to intubate her cos she's in mix acidosis la.. so all kan cheong and poke the poor baby so many times! but no choice ma.. so finally got one in den quickly intubated and baby was eventually sent to NICU.. and wan yee's on call tonight too!! so long nv see her.. haha.. now she's reg le.. nice to see her up there.. she like so pro when we transferred the baby over.. really got the reg "sey" lor!! haha..

i think i really cannot write my entries when doing triage.. i tried like so many times and everytime cannot complete a single post.. they jus keep coming in after every sentence i type.. haha.. probably this is making me jinxed too.. wahaha.. shld have brought my knitting to work.. now i have nothing do.. grr~

Sweet little moment

You know the thing that I like about working with kids.. Although most times they're screaming and wailing when they see you(thats because kids are more fretful when they're not well), but once in a while you get those sweet little things smiling and playing with you.. It just makes your day.. :)

Was afternoon shift yesterday, and for the first time in I can't remember how long (probably as long as when I first joined), the queue was just 1-2! So imagine the peace okays.. So I was at the counter, and this small little girl, probably abt 1-2 yr old, walked in and was standing at the red door.. and suddenly, she gave me her ever so SWEET SMILE and started waving at me! the thing is, I was wearing a mask and kids always get frightened when they see that.. but not this sweet young thing.. so I walked up to her, and wanted to play with her a little.. then I put my hand out, wanted to shake hand with her, and you know what she did? She took my hand and salam(kissing of the hand) me! She's a malay la duh~ In case for those who don't know what that means.. For the malays, thats their way of paying respect for the elders.. You tell me, is she SWEET or what??!! She just made me feel so touched lor.. At such a young age she knows how to do that.. I just felt like hugging and kissing her at that moment! haha.. too bad her granddad was there and he like got this look on his face.. hee.. what a lovely girl she is.. if only all kids are like her..

ANNOUNCEMENT: I'M AFRAID OF DOGS!! STAY AWAY FROM ME!!!

has anyone ever suffered frm chronic hangover? haha.. i think i might have.. was like having overlapping hangovers.. duh~ woke up yesterday with a super bad headache but still went to work anyways..

was out with baby @ Le Bar(again) on friday.. she was having attachment at CICU and its her last day of attachment!! tt calls for somewhat a celebration! lol!~ din call for reservation thou.. tot of trying our luck and see if we can 'walk-in'.. haha.. but we sort of have a back-up plan lah.. so after we reach, as usual and as expected, the place was FULL!! but i think lady luck was with us.. heh~ wisnie was there with patrick and the guys.. so i whiningly asked if we could sit with them.. haha! of cos they said yes la.. who on earth can stand my whine sia.. lol!!

Darling was so drunk tt night she FRENCH KISSED ME!!!!! haha.. jus before i got up the cab.. den i like pushed her away lor!! lol! ppl around were all starring at the 2 crazy girls.. haha.. darling say obviously they're shocked cos 2 pretty girls are kissing each other like nobody's business.. if say one of us more boyish kind den at least can understand.. wahaha!! anyways.. her phone went flat on her after i left and she said she went ard asking ppl to lend her their phone!! in the end teddy lent her his.. baby said he's so funny.. like blur, dunno wats happening.. lol! oh.. and she became a merlion after tt!!! hahaha! i remembered the one time i became a merlion at the old place.. was so SHITTY!! so i can understand how baby felt at tt time.. haha!

So after work went over to wisnie's place for our 'home-drinking session'.. haha.. din feel like going at first.. but she wanted me to buy some shoju over so.. jus went lor.. it din occur to me that she jus got a new DOG!! kaozz!!! if i know i wouldn't have went lor!!! and her sis was like carrying the dog right up to my face after knowing i have PHOBIA OF DOGS!! i was screaming and running for my life!! lol!~ the worst has yet to come.. later Fion came.. and then... she brought her DOG along too!!! *faintzz* hers was a much bigger dog.. dun ask wat breed it is okays.. i noe nuts abt dogs.. guess was the same as wisnie's.. so the 2 dogs got excited and was jumping abt in the hse and i bloody hell freaked out lor!! they kept asking me to touch the dogs hoping i'll somehow overcome the fear like OVERNIGHT!.. wth.. a phobia will stay with u for the rest of ur life maybe.. well, unless u seek treatment or wat lah.. but i dun think anyone will be so free and so freaking boliao to go n seek treatment for phobia.. hee~

anyways, went off quite early last night cos i was really really really tired and plus i was K shift today.. been out like almost everyday for the whole week and i'm jus super shagg can.. woke up today with an even heavier head.. lol!~ well, serve me right lah.. super busy shift today!! kaozz.. can u imagine with 3 person doing triage and the que is still like 9-10 everytime u press the damn que system!!! all the singaporeans stay home and watch olympics can!!! i swear i was typing till my hands cramp lor!! and all the f*cking parents keep coming to ask if they can see the doctor IMMEDIATELY!!! and they dun care whether u have patients in ur counter, they jus BARGE IN!!! at least u wana check the waiting time or ask for priority u dun be so bloody hell RUDE LAH!!! argh!!!!!!!!!!!! and its always the happy and active child's parents asking for the freaking priority.. the real sick ones jus sit quietly and wait for their turn.. come on lah.. i dun think u dun have eyes to see for urself how many patients we have lor!! the whole dept was like MAD HOUSE!! hai.. shall not comment further..

Baby's coming back to work next week!!! haha.. finally after the long wait.. at least my life wun be so miserable.. hee~

NEW staff lounge @ KKH!!

kaozz!! the new staff lounge is bloody hell nice and classy can!!! i jus saw it frm baby's blog... haha.. haven been there yet thou sister tor keep asking us to go take a look!! go see the pictures baby taken ya.. and see if it looks anything like a HOSPITAL PLACE!!! heh~ there's a bar counter too!! but i doubt they sell drinks there.. erm.. not like soft drinks kinda drink.. ya get wat i mean k.. lol!!~ if they have i sure go there like all the time fo small drinks lor!! better still if there's some cute bartenders.. wahahaha!! okays.. shall go prepare for work.. ciaoz!

Its august already.. And like always, u get more and more emotional as the days past, when the date gets nearer.. Its that kind of mixed feelings.. U feel happy for him cos this is what he always wanted, its his dream.. yet, u can't help but feel sad cos he's leaving.. Leaving for good or perhaps he'll be back, there's no definitive answer..

Things are constantly running through my mind.. I couldn't help but wonder, what would it be like if say, we're together? Its a definite NO for him to stay.. But, would there be any promises? Or maybe some change of plans? Oh well, those were again my nonsensical thoughts.. Painting my beautiful picture and building my ever so huge castle in the air.. Hee~

Life goes on, whether u like it or not.. In life, u can't expect every single thing to flow as u wish, or things to happen jus because u said so.. Afterall, who are u to have such power? haha.. u jus have to accept whatever that comes along, and perhaps, it could be a blessing in disguise? Perhaps this is just a passing phase and perhaps in years to come...... perhaps, perhaps, perhaps..

Whatever it is, he'll have all my wishes and i really hope he can do well in this.. Cos I want him to.. :)
